set received / mailed-by field

is it possible to set the received: field of an form report email send wit eform

in the source of the email message i see a field called:

Received: from mydomain.nl (localhost [127.0.0.1])

if i receive a mail from eform on my gmail address i see field called ’’mailed-by’’ in de message details.

it gives the name of the server from where the mail was send.

can i set this value with eform?
or is this something that has to be done on the server side ?

Had you tried the following in the snippet call to Eform? :


And if you are using phx its:

&from and &fromname are used in the call and do show-up in the email.

Then you could use SMTP instead of php mail()

as i’m not experienced i do not know where to put this in the eform snippet

$mail->Host = "smtp.gmail.com";
$mail->SMTPAuth = true;
$mail->SMTPSecure= "ssl";
$mail->Port = 465;
$mail->Username = "[email protected]";
$mail->Password = "password";

It’s not in the snippet call but in: assets/snippets/eform/eform.inc.php if I are remembering it correctly.

I have a modified version that can use SMTP, check my signature.
