    I made a typo in my code, so it won’t help anyone!

        Thanks for taking the time to respond.

        I was struggling with this for ages. Then realised it was a typo I had made.

        *must type code out from scratch when hitting such problems instead of repeatedly copy-pasting my typos!*

          glad you solved your problem; I do that all the time. 
          if(issset($blah)) {
   // insert values into database
   ...
}

          doesn’t ever get anything into the database, and I just recently spent two days trying to figure out why my insert query wasn’t working rolleyes rolleyes
