When a contact form errors out due to required fields being blank or invalid, text boxes and select boxes retain their submitted values, as they should. However, the same does not seem to be true of file upload inputs
This is a pretty big problem on the form I am currently developing, where the user fills out a bunch of information and selects up to four files to submit with the info. If there is an error in submitting the information, the file locations to which he browsed are lost. Worse, most users probably won’t notice this and will end up sending the form without the attachment.
