A complete and short working example for eForm1.4

    I am a newbie to PHP and HTML

    Can some one provide a working example so that I can copy paste
    and try sending an email using the example.
    I have installed eForm today and sendmail is running.

      You can take a look at my implementation, log in to my Manager as guest-guestuser, and look at the Chunks I have for the contact form (they’re all together in the Contact category at the top of the Chunks tab). Don’t let the silly Javascript fool you; it’s really just a basic eForm contact form (although I do use a couple of custom event handler functions with it).

      Or you can use the example in the documentation that can be found in assets/snippets/eform/docs. There are several examples, as well as the rest of the documentation which is useful to know.

        1. Got the assets/snippets/eform folder ready.
        2. eFeedBackForm, eFeedBackReport, eFeedBackThanks and eForm
        ready, all according to the docs/examples.
        3. Created a contact.html, contents are -

          The formid parameter in the snippet call must match either a hidden input field’s value, or the form’s ID:
          <form id="feedbackForm" ...>

          This way it is possible to have multiple forms on the same page; eForm will tell them apart from the formid. If you just use the id attribute of the form, eForm will generate the hidden input field at the bottom of the form.

            I have installed only repo-2337.zip(eForm portion of modX).
            Is complete modX required ?

                Um... yes, eForm is a MODx add-on. It’s a snippet, and requires MODx to work, as do all MODx add-ons (except for maybe a few modules like BkupMODx that can run stand-alone).
