Select fields are required when they're not

    Hi,

    New to eform so please excuse if this is obvious. All the drop down select fields in my form are showing as required when they are not. I can’t seem to find what I’m doing wrong here. Here’s a section example:

                    <select id="How_Happy" name="HowHappy" eform="HowHappy::">
                    <option selected="selected">please select</option>
                    <option>1</option>
                    <option>2</option>
                    <option>3</option>
                    <option>4</option>
                    <option>5</option>
                    <option>6</option>
                    <option>7</option>
                    <option>8</option>
                    <option>9</option>
                    <option>10</option>                
                    </select>

      Try giving the options a value attribute:
      <option value="0" selected="selected">please select</option>
                    <option value="1">1</option>
                    <option value="2">2</option>
                    <option value="3">3</option>
                    <option value="4">4</option>

        Many thanks for the reply sottwell. I started with that format and revised after looking into eforms documentation. Sadly the change made no difference.

            Hi again - I’ve just revisited this and found that it’s the combination of 
            eform="HowHappy::0"
            and insertion of 
            <option value="0" selected="selected">please select</option>
            on the first select that has sorted this for me.
