Hi all,
I want to create an orderform. Is it possible to do that with eForm ?
What I want:
The user should be able to check his orders ( a list of things that can be ordered with checkboxes, together with a field where you can give the number of items you want, and the price of the item), fill out the name, addres, city fields and submit the order.
That would be the easy part. I also want it to generate an orderno (sequential) and put this in the feedback post.
I also want to be able to calculate the total amount to pay and put that back into the feedback post.
cheers,

Yes. You can use any kind of form fields. Any calculations or extra data that needs to be passed on can be added using eForm’s event model and extra snippets with functions to add the extra data to the $fields array. Then eForm will generate placeholders for them along with the form fields to use in the feedback report.
See the eform_example_events.htm in the eForm docs for exactly that kind of function.
We’re going to extend eForm using its events structure to provide the jobNumber automatically and have this included in the report which is sent to the office and to the client.
Hello Susan,
Thanks for pointing me to that information - pretty useful. So, I need to write a function which give me a variable that starts at a certain range and adds 1 after every formsubmit. Where would I store that variable ?
Further on, I need to get the calculations in place....any hints or tips in that direction ?
