Why does setting the &from=`[+email+]` not work!!! i.e. so that the email is sent from the email field from the form.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Could be a clash with PHx. Try &from=`((email))`, which gets translated into the normal placeholder markers in the snippet code.

And also make sure that the form input field has the name="email" attribute.
