Main mail: Mailer was unable to send mailCould not instantiate mail function

I am using version 1.0.2 with the default example site, when I add an email address to the snippet call and hit submit I get the error message of
Main mail: Mailer was unable to send mailCould not instantiate mail function
I have done a search on the forums which sugguest a server problem however I have another site running on this server and that one works fine.

This is the snippet call:

[!eForm? &formid=`ContactForm` &subject=`[+subject+]` &to=`[([email protected])]` &ccsender=`0` &tpl=`ContactForm` &report=`ContactFormReport` &invalidClass=`invalidValue` &requiredClass=`requiredValue` &cssStyle=`ContactStyles` &gotoid=`46` !]

Can anyone suggest what to try.

Why is your to address in that form? [([email protected])] is neither a valid email address nor a valid MODx site settings tag. What did you intend to have there? If the default email address you set in the site configuration in the Manager, then it should be [(emailsender)]; or you can leave the &to parameter out altogether since eForm will use that by default. A different email address should just be &to=`[email protected]`
