Upload file size limit?

I would like to know if there is any way to prevent a web user from uploading anything larger than a certain file size?

i would also like some documentation regarding size limits for files to upload.

Currently in the documentation it states:

"file - (for file upload input) - checks if a size error occurs, does not currently check file type"

but does not specify how to set the acceptable size.

You’ll need to adjust your PHP configuration. PHP/Apache cannot access your local filesystem to read the file size in advance. You’d need to use a Flash-based file uploading tool to accomplish that.
