I’m trying to add a "Send This Page" eForm to a site and have come across two stumbling blocks.
1. In order to pass the page url to the form, I created a hidden field named "pagename" that uses a chunk in the value to create the URL for the current page -- [(site_url)][*alias*].html. The URL is properly formatted when I look at the page source, but the hidden field has a class added of "invalidValue" - and the email never is sent, so I assume that URL is the problem.
How else could I dynamically add the page URL to the email output?
2. I also can’t figure out how to pass the Sender and Recipient emails from the form to be used in the eForm output. Instead of using the &to and &from parameters as fixed values, I want the email to go to the user-entered Recipient from the user-entered Sender. Has anyone done this before? Can this be done?
Thanks for any help.
Still looking fro some insight, if anyone has some.
Part 1
try and add some validation to the hidden field e.g.
eform="Link::0"
think that might fix it
Part 2
use &sendirect=`1` in the snippet call to send the email to the contents of the [+email+] field
For the last part, do you really need to send an email to the person using the form, normally you would just mention their name in the email. Also by doing so you will be trying to spoof the sender so it may not work on your host, and it sounds as if you could easily leave yourself open to spammers using the form.
