I’m trying to use the #FUNCTION validation. First of all the documentation is terrible, needs to provide more exact examples from start to finish.
I checked the snippet php file. Why the heck does it not allow the use of #FUNCTION validation when the field being validated is blank? Check eform.inc.php around line 190. That is stupid. The point of #FUNCTION validation is to allow users to specify their own custom validation. It should default to the user specified validation function regardless of anything else
Maybe you should ask for your money back.
But seriously, the coders who developed the MODx add-ons have put literally thousands of hours into providing us with free utilities. I generally try to encourage them to continue to contribute. I don’t think calling them stupid is the best approach for that.
