Just wondering if it is possible to to this

I would like to use the fields in the form to generate the following
&from
&fromname
&subject
I also tried to do it using events but without success.
I managed to modify the subject using
$fields['subject'] = $fields['subject'] . ' - ' . $fields['company_name'] . ':' . $fields['contact'];
but how do I get the default value that is set up in the eform call.
