    For some reason my eForm wont work anymore. As i first set it up, it worked perfectly and suddenly it wont do anything when trying to submit the form. And i have to get this working very urgently undecided

    I tested the mail with a single test_mail.php file calling the mail function - that works

    does someone know why eform will not react on submit anymore? usually the thank you message came up.

    im using modx 0.9.6.1p2 and eform 1.4.4.5

    my snippet call looks like this:
    [!eForm? &formid=`contactForm` &to=`[email protected]` &tpl=`eForm_DE` &report=`eReport_DE` &vericode=`0` &thankyou=`eThanks_DE`  &subject=`Test`!]

    and the chunks are defined as they should - like mentioned, it used to work before

    thank you in beforehand laugh

    PS: im even willing to pay for a solution!

      It looks like you have the Rich Text editor enabled on the page. One thing I do is put my snippet call into a chunk, then I reference the chunk in the page where I want the form to display. That way the snippet call doesn’t get re-written by the WYSIWYG.

      For example, create chunk called "MyForm" and paste your snippet call into it like:

      [!eForm? &formid=`contactForm` &to=`[email protected]` &tpl=`eForm_DE` &report=`eReport_DE` &vericode=`0` &thankyou=`eThanks_DE` &subject=`Test`!]

      Then on the page where you want the form to display, simple add a reference to your chunk like: {{MyForm}}

      This will help avoid the problem where ampersands get re-written from & to & in your snippet calls.

        That didnt help sad

        still getting the same effect - i fill out the form, click submit, the page reloads (but not with the thank you text) still showing the form and no mail reaches me undecided

          not sure, but you got a non-breaking space

          in your call

              Try this:

              Edit the page containing your eForm call. Uncheck the Rich Text Editor and save. Reload the page.

              Change all instances of & to just & and save again.

              Clear the MODx cache and your browser cache and cookies.

                did that, i didnt have any &amp’s anyware

                but i removed all other unnecessary coding just leaving
                <p>
                {{eForm_DE}}
                </p>

                and in the chunt theres the pure snippet call - like estring wrote (just with a different email and also no &amp’s)

                cleared the modx and browser cache aswell as cookies and even got a friend to test it
                didnt work though sad

                  Did you use the same from: and to: email addresses when you tested mail() by itself?

                    on the eform i use the same from and to

                    in the mail() test i just defined a to and the from was basicly root

                    an additional thing i just noticed - apparently the form also doesnt check false input (like email etc)

                      I’ve had problems on some shared hosting servers when I tried to send an email where the "from" email address was not a valid from address of your domain. I had to set the eForm from parameter to something like: &from=`[email protected]`

                      So I would setup a email address specifically for sending the eForm email.
