Is it possible to highlight (for example make red) the fields that contain errors or are missing with eForm?

Yes; check the documentation that comes with eForm for what you’ll need to add to your .css file.
Thanks sotwell, I added to eForm call &invalidClass=`error` and defined class "error" in my .css file but didn’t work. I had a look at the source code of the page with eForm error message and expected to see in input areas with errors <input class="error" .. /> but didn’t see.
I saw by the way in bottof of the eForm documentation written: "Todo: Custom css classes for invalid fields (add to or create class attributes)" so it seems it’s still in todo list to highlight invalid input fields.
I have MODx 9.6.3 and eForm 1.4.4
