    I am a newbie to MODX, but I am a front-end web dev.

    Host: bluehost (Apache version 2.2.11 (Unix); PHP version 5.2.9; MySQL version 5.0.8; Operating system:Linux)
    MODX: 0.9.6.3 installed via Simple Script (meaning by bluehost)
    eForm: 1.4.4.5

    I installed locally MODX, but with a learning web site - from where I copy/pasted eFrom code.

    For the sake of argument, let’s say that everything is O.K. with my Form and Report Chunks; in my Contact page the code is:

    [!eForm? &formid=`ContactForm` &subject=`[+subject+]` &to=`[email protected]` &ccsender=`1` &tpl=`ContactForm` &report=`ContactFormReport` &invalidClass=`invalidValue` &requiredClass=`requiredValue` &cssStyle=`ContactStyles` &gotoid=`3`  !]

    Everything looks fine; validation works; I got thank you conformation; but no mail!
    I tried a few versions from different tutorials found on the net; different chunks and eForm code with the same result.
    However when I use the simplest PHP snippet
    <?php
    mail("[email protected]",
          "This is the message subject",
          "This is the message body");
    ?>

    I receive the mail with no problem. I tried to look in eForm Snippet code, but nothing.
    I would be so great if I could have an explanation/suggestion to my problem.
    One more thing, I haven’t contacted bluehost tech support. I am a bit hesitant ’cos I do receive mail with regular PHP.

    Yours CSS/JS guy in trouble smiley

      Take a look into the error log of your server. Maybe your host requires a predefined "standard" e-mail address for scripts as a security option?

        I called bluhost support,explained everything and quoted you :"Maybe your host requires a predefined "standard" e-mail address for scripts as a security option?".
        They answered that more likely is not their problem but let them try something (they didn’t say what).
        After that I successfully managed to send mail to my hotmail account, but not on my domain account.
        After an hour of playing with the all options I finally manged my domain account to work.
        Here is the solution (after calling blueHost support)!!!

        When your host is BlueHost don’t try to log into your email account what they show you at the video tutorial!
        The tutorial says to type webmail after your domain name and you’ll get into your application which you picked up to read your email ===> www.mysite.com/webmail
        Big no! You have to ===> log into your cPanel > email accounts > choose your account > enter the password > choose your email app (mine is SquirreMail) > you made it!!
        The part which confused me was when typed www.mysite.com/webmail, I was into my SquirreMail but all email where with errors! For some reason when you loginto your account
        thought cPanel everything is great!
        Thx rasc!
