Fighting spam with hidden fields and CSS

Hi guys,

I read a great article about hiding a field with css and then the automated bots think it’s a real field, but end up revealing they’re bots and not being able to submit.

"The idea here is setting up a form with a text field and via CSS making it invisible. Then, if a post is sent to a php script handling the request and that text box has information in it, that means a human didn’t fill it out, and the script is simply aborted."

Is there anyone here that could let me know how to easily integrate this into eForm?
Thanks in advance

Susan (sottwell) has done this and posted about it at least once. Don’t recall where I saw it but it’s entirely doable. Good luck!

Doh, thanks Ryan.

The SPForm snippet has this built in if you want to see an example. It does it without display:none (suggested in the link) which can look suspicious to search engines.

I think the original suggestion came from rthrash.
