I am trying to use ModX/eform to create a simple e-mail form. I followed the eform instructions (I believe) flawlessly...and I am getting the "Could not instantiate mail function" error when I click the submit button on my form.

I am doing this on my host, 1and1. I have other sites that send mail fine on that host, but they are Wordpress sites.

Does anyone know enough about 1and1 to let me know if I need to do anything in particular (config changes in /manager/includes/controls/class.phpmailer.php) to get this working, or should I just bother 1and1 support?

    Thanks in advance.

I wonder if you have access to mail(). I think that some servers may block it. Not sure.

Thanks for the reply, Dev. I got it figured out...in my page code, in my reference to the "To" e-mail address, the editor or something else made it into an anchor tag. Instead of &to’[email protected]’, it was &to’<a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a>’

        All is working fine now.
