Retaining values of text fields

Okay, so the eForm documentation says "text input fields now retain default value set in form template", and that’s what happens.

However, this can be a bit of a pain for users, because if you enter lots of your own values in text fields but omit a required value, all of the user-entered values will have disappeared and been replaced by the default values. The same isn’t true for for text areas, radio buttons, checkboxes and so on.

Is there any way of forcing eForm to retain the user-entered values rather than the default values?

I’m using eForm 1.4.4.6 and MODx 0.9.6.3.

If this is so than you’ve discovered a bug. Posted values should always take precedence. Again I’ll look into it when I can (see reply to your other post)
