    Hello,

I am trying to upgrade from 0.9.0 to 0.9.1 and it hasn’t worked. It shows that everything was successful, but when I log in to the manager, I am still in 0.9.0. I downloaded 0.9.1, unzipped it, FTPed everything to the site, and then went throught the upgrade process.

    Any ideas?

Also, is there more detailed upgrade information. I found this (http://modxcms.com/installation-and-configuration.html), but that’s it.

I am hosted at Textdrive.com (here’s a link to what my site is running on: http://textdrive.com/features).

    PHP5-FastCGI-Suexec, mod_php5 and PHP4-FastCGI-Suexec supported side-by-side
    MySQL 4.1
    Apache 2.0.latest

    Firefox 1.5.0.1
    Windows XP SP2

Thanks to everyone responsible for Modx. I absolutely love it!

    Sam
    • Perhaps you need to clear your browser cache? I’m not sure, but that has caused similar problems in the past.

On another note, I once had a site hosted with a local outfit that had some kind of caching of their own, and they had it misconfigured to only refresh once every 24 hours. I couldn’t even get them to admit that there was a problem, so I moved my site.

On another occasion, I had just moved a domain and was busily making some more changes to the content before backing up, when the hosting company for whatever reasons loaded a backup of the entire shared server. Although in that case, I must admit that they did email everybody several days in advance; I had just forgotten about it!

Thanks for the advice...I do remember reading that Textdrive does in fact cache our sites. Maybe that’s what it is.... I’ll wait and see.

I refreshed everything and tried different browsers, but that didn’t seem to work.

Also, I noticed that some of the new features did install. When I am logged into manager and then go browse my site, I have a ’movable’ quick-edit icon that I think is a feature of 0.9.1.

        Thanks, again.

        • Since all of the backend stuff comes off the filesystem and not the database, it’s possible (although a pain) to delete everything under the /manager folder, then upload completely fresh. I’ve done that on occasion, apparently the FTP upload/overwrite didn’t always overwrite everything. Just make sure to save your manager/includes/config.inc.php file first!!!
