Hi...I’m having some serious problems with all the eForm forms on my site.

The forms were working fine until a few days ago. Suddenly, the verification codes are not working and they are crashing the whole page, and the site as well.

    Here’s what happens.

You request a page that has a form on it with the verification code. The page loads, but the verification code does not load...you get either a blank box, or a box with the words "verification code" in it.

The page never stops loading. If you look in page status area in the browser, the page is still listed as loading and it spins and spins and spins. It never times out.

The problem here...is that it locks up the site for about 5 minutes. None of the rest of the pages will load and you can’t get into the manager.

If you remove the verification code lines in the form...it all works fine.

Any suggestions as to where I should start looking? I’m really at a loss here. I’ve upgraded to the latest version of eForm (1.4.4.5).

I’m happy to post the code from the form(s) if that would help.

    Thanks in advance.

Check with your host about upgrades to php, gd and freetype.

Also check the /manager/includes/noises and the /manager/includes/ttf directories and make sure these files weren’t corrupted or lost somewhere.

          Hi all....thanks for the suggestions.

I checked with my host and they had changed their PHP installation from php5 to php5 with Fast CGI enabled. Once I disabled the Fast CGI...it all started working again.

Re enabled it just to test, and sure enough, it broke again.

So that was the issue. Don’t know if there is a problem with the eForm and Fast CGI, but on BlueHost, it breaks the forms.

Thanks a bunch. I marked this as solved.
