    I took the contact form chunks and calls from the test site and applied them to a site I have been working on.

    The problem is that all I can fill in the form and reach the ’thank you’ page, I never never get an e-mail either with the query or with my message.

    To test I recently filled out the contact form on the modx test site and noticed that it does not send me an e-mail either.

    The call for the form on the contacts page is:

    [!eForm? &formid=`ContactForm` &subject=`[+subject+]` &to=`[(email_sender)]` &ccsender=`1` &tpl=`ContactForm` &report=`ContactFormReport` &invalidClass=`invalidValue` &requiredClass=`requiredValue` &cssStyle=`ContactStyles` &gotoid=`28`  !]

    Here are the chunks:

    ContactForm
    <p class="error">[+validationmessage+]</p>

    <form method="post" action="[~[*id*]~]" id="EmailForm" name="EmailForm">

    	<fieldset>
    		<h3> Contact Form</h3>

    		<input name="formid" type="hidden" value="ContactForm" />

    		<label for="cfName">Your name:
    		<input name="name" id="cfName" class="text" type="text" eform="Your Name::1:" /> </label>

    		<label for="cfEmail">Your Email Address:
    		<input name="email" id="cfEmail" class="text" type="text" eform="Email Address:email:1" /> </label>

    		<label for="cfRegarding">Regarding:</label>
    		<select name="subject" id="cfRegarding" eform="Form Subject::1">
    			<option value="Getting Involved">Playing Lacrosse</option>
    			<option value="General Inquiries">General</option>
    			<option value="Press">Press or Interview Request</option>
    			<option value="Partnering">Partnering Opportunities</option>
    		</select>

    		<label for="cfMessage">Message:
    		<textarea name="message" id="cfMessage" rows="4" cols="20" eform="Message:textarea:1"></textarea>
    		</label>

    		<label> </label><input type="submit" name="contact" id="cfContact" class="button" value="Send This Message" />

    	</fieldset>

    </form>

    ContactFormReport
    <p>This is a response sent by <b>[+name+]</b> using the feedback form on the website. The details of the message follow below:</p>

    <p>Name: [+name+]</p>
    <p>Email: [+email+]</p>
    <p>Regarding: [+subject+]</p>
    <p>comments:<br />[+message+]</p>

    <p>You can use this link to reply: <a href="mailto:[+email+]?subject=RE: [+subject+]">[+email+]</a></p>

    ContactStyles
    <style type="text/css">
    div.errors{ color:#F00; }
    #EmailForm .invalidValue{ background: #FFDFDF; border:1px solid #F00; }
    #EmailForm .requiredValue{ background: #FFFFDF; border:1px solid #F00; }
    </style>

    Can you see anything wrong there at all?

    Thanks in advance

      Best thing to look at is your mail queue and logs...

      and try this...

      Is mail setuped correctly in your server environment?

      try doing a php page with this content (replace the mail address with your mail address):
      <?php
      $message = "Test 1\nTest 2\nTest 3";
      mail('[email protected]', 'Testing mail function', $message);
      ?>

      Access that page and see what happens, if no errors appear, go to your mail and see if you got the mail. If it doesn’t work, contact your server host and ask why.

        In the Document Content for the Contact Form try changing [tt]&to=`[(email_sender)]`[/tt] to [tt]&to=`[(emailsender)]`[/tt] or remove the
        &to=`[(email_sender)]`
        completely. Emails will then be sent to the email address in the configuration.

        If all else fails change [tt]&to=`[(email_sender)]`[/tt] to [tt]&to=`[email protected]`[/tt].
