    hi,

i don’t know why, but my eForm snippet just won’t work. I’m calling this:

    [[eForm? &formid=`press` &subject=`press mail` &to=`info@******.com` &ccsender=`1` &tpl=`pressFormular` &report=`pressReport` &gotoid=`1`]]

and on the result page it just shows this code instead of showing the formular. i tested to use
     [[eForn]]
, in that case it tells me no template ... I just wanted to test whether the snippet is actually there. What can I do, to let it run? i turned off the cache, i created the chunks....

    i use modx 0.9.6 and eForm 1.4.4

    ps: i also tried [! eForm .... !] didn’t work either

There shouldn’t be an eform call on your results page. Eform will either send you to the id of the document that you used in &gotoid=`1` or retrieves the contents of the chunk or document named in the &thanksyou. What is it you are trying to achieve? Are other snippets working?

Your second call is spelled wrong-BTW. You have

      [[eForn]]

      and it should be
      [[eForm]]

I can only assume that this is a typo.

I usually don’t call eForm as cachable [[ but use [! I know you said that it still didn’t work but lets look at the other points above first.

      Cheers,

eform also has to be called on an uncached page or uncached itself. General rule of thumb, any snipped that processes information should no be cached. Also make sure you have the proper name attribute matching in your eform call in your template. (name="press")

Thank you for your answers. You asked me, what i was trying to achieve. I just want to show die !"§%!§ eForm on my page. I tried hunderd of configurations but it doesnt show the form. the spelling wasn’t wrong (i misspelled in this post only), other snippets are working, without other parameters eform works ( [[eForm]] is converted to "Template is missing") and with parameters nothing happens ( the eform call ( [[eForm &formid=`press` ... ) is printed on the site without beeing converted, no error notices, nothing, only the call unparsed). I cant understand it.

Well, I see that you are frustrated but you might want to consider blowing off your steam before posting.

Are other snippets working on the site? Are you by chance pasting eForm into the Rich Text editor? Have you got a working copy of MODx with the default dataset installed? Are its snippets working on your server?

The reason I asked what you wanted to achieve with eForm is because there is not any reason to put an [[eForm]] call on the page you send them to after that have completed the form. Any eform call REQUIRES the following parameters (per the documentation which is located in /assets/snippets/eform/docs/) formid, tpl and report so if you have a call without them it won’t do anything.

So at a minimum you call should have the following:
            [!eForm? &formid=`feedbackForm`&tpl=`eFeedBackForm` &report=`eFeedbackReport`!]

The parameter values should be whatever is in your template.

If you are just wanting to show your respondents a thank you page, create the thank you page and put the id in the gotoid=`n` where n is the id of the thank you document.

Otherwise share with us what kind of form, contact, upload, request, subscription etc. and paste your form template as well.

            Cheers,

              Hi,

              thansk for the quick answer.

Other snippets are working without problems.

The reason why i mentioned [[eForm]] without parameters is, it shows that the eForm snippet is activated. I know that you need these 3 mandatory parameters, but the strange thing is:

[[eForm]] triggers something within the snippet and i get a answer or rahter a error message ("No Template ...")
again: i tried this only for test purposes

but [[eForm *with parameter*]] doenst trigger anything, the call code is printed on the site, no error message nothing

When you are calling eForm do you have the "?" after the snippet name in your call? DO you have the & before the params. If so, I am unfortunately out of ideas sad

Things you might want to do is to re load your eform files in /assets/snippet/eform/ and then see if things work. Some times things don’t work as expected if a file is corrupted in transfer--especially by FTP.

                Cheers,
