    Hi All
    Ive set up my first eform I’m running
    modx 0.9.6
    eform 1.4.4

    however the captcha doesn’t show, and when I follow the src of the intended captcha image
    /manager/includes/veriword.php?rand=541400463
    I get the message

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function: imagettfbbox() in /home/virtual-web/dev.shentons.co.uk/public/manager/includes/veriword.php on line 126

    when I check the line in veriword there does appear to be a call to an undefined function.

    Is this just me or is there a bug in the captcha routine.
    Thanks in advance

      This is not really an eForm question but the problemis either the php GD library or the php Freetype library. imagettfbbox needs both modules installed in php. Have a look at the php info ( you can find that phpinfo in reports >> system info >> phpinfo) or run gd_info().

      You could for instance place this in a snippet and include that in a page.
      return '<pre>' . print_r(gd_info(),true) .'</pre>';

      This should give you some info about what is going on.

        thanks for this I see what you mean about it not being an eform request so much as a gd/freetype issue
        I’ve got php info on gd
        GD Support 	enabled
        GD Version 	bundled (2.0.28 compatible)
        GIF Read Support 	enabled
        GIF Create Support 	enabled
        JPG Support 	enabled
        PNG Support 	enabled
        WBMP Support 	enabled
        XBM Support 	enabled

        and from the gd_info()

        Array
        (
            [GD Version] => bundled (2.0.28 compatible)
            [FreeType Support] =>
            [T1Lib Support] =>
            [GIF Read Support] => 1
            [GIF Create Support] => 1
            [JPG Support] => 1
            [PNG Support] => 1
            [WBMP Support] => 1
            [XBM Support] => 1
            [JIS-mapped Japanese Font Support] =>
        )

        which looks bad for freetype support, so onto the ISP for a little request.
        cheers for the advice, is any specific version of freetype suggested?

          Don’t know about that, have a look at the GD website for info perhaps... http://www.boutell.com/gd/

          Edit: ehm,... make that http://www.libgd.org/Main_Page seems it’s moved since last time I visited it (which is a long time ago)
