    Hi all,

I have a question about form development in modx.

I have a multi-page form that collects the answers to questions and then submits the data to Mysql, that I developed in PHP, it works fine outside of modx.

I want to integrate it with a new modx based website.

Should I redevelop it in eForm? ie. does eForm support multipage, and is it fine for database entry support.

Or should I just use the ViewPort widget. I have no idea how to use the viewport widget though...

    Thanks for any ideas.!

eForm multi-page forms have been discussed numerous times in the eForm topic: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/board,200.0.html

Like the first stickied post there or here: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,11847.0.html (found buried on the fifth page). Also search for "multiple page eform" for more examples.

        Thanks Ryan,

I see that eForm will support multi-page. I’ll assume is supports database entry instead of email submission.

Are there any examples on how to use the viewport widget to display my existing multipage form script?

        thanks again!

There’s also examples of writing eForms to databases. Search is your friend. tongue

Thanks Ryan, I now see that eForm can support multipage, and can support database entry.

Are there any examples on how to use the viewport widget so as to include my existing php form script? (I did google search the forums with "site:modxcms.com/forums viewport" but couldn’t see anything relevant yet...)

Honestly viewport is one of those seldomly used items in the MODx toolkit. It’s simply an iframe at its core, I believe... good luck!

Thanks! I’ll leave viewport, I guessed it might be an iframe. I’ll look at eForm. Thanks again.
