I recently changed my site to friendly urls ( including my .htaccess files) and now my rss feed no longer works. My rss feeds is now showing the following:

    http://www.lrn4lfe.com/feed.html

I now that the rss file needs to be changed with the proper extension, but I am not sure how to do this within MODx. Can someone please help.

    Thank You

        Hello again,

I read the above link and I am still having problems. I think this is due to where I am placing the code. Can anyone recommend a text editor instead of notepad that can be used to search and replace the existing code referenced here: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,1997.0.html

The following is the error message I am getting when I click on my rss feed link:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare closetags() (previously declared in /home/lrn4lfe/public_html/manager/includes/document.parser.class.inc.php(691) : eval()’d code:344) in /home/lrn4lfe/public_html/manager/includes/document.parser.class.inc.php(691) : eval()’d code on line 79

        Thank You Very Much

I like Programmers Notepad for simple text editing with syntax highlight. Lightweight and free. Susan (sottwell) likes Crimson Editor, which is just as good (although a tad slower).

Pat, the simplest solution for now is to just give your non html documents the suffix you wish them to have in the alias field. So you would rename the document "feed" to "feed.xml". Then you could refrence feed.xml and that would work (so would feed.xml.html but who cares?)

This should be fixed in the next release.
