    Hi all,

I have posted in the KoopMailingListX forum, not sure if it is more geared towards eForm though:

One other feature that would be great - add a checkbox to my sites contact form. Would this be too difficult? I am using eForm to display a simple form, would it be a case of adding a check box that basically took the information from the required email field in the form and adding it to newsletter subscription database.

In theory that sounds straightforward but I have no idea how to implement this... can it be implemented....has anyone already done this?

    Thanks
    Lee

    • Take a look at my RegisterX snippet; turn this into a function for one of the eform events, and you’re all set.

Don’t suppose you could help me, sorry for being a lame ass:)

Would registerX replace KoopsMailingListX or would it run of the same system?

          Thanks

          • KoopsMailinglistX is an embedded version of Koops MailingList; it’s not native MODx at all, and uses its own user tables and its own RTE for creating the newsletter. Someday I plan to really port it, to use the MODx user management system as well as MODx documents for its newsletters.

RegisterX is simply a way to accept an email address and create a MODx user assigned to a given web user group. It has nothing to do with KoopsMailingListX.

Ok thanks for the info. I might use registerX since I will probably use a separate system for sending out newsletters. Then I can just export the user database.

              Thanks for your help.
