A number of people have reported this and I’ve confirmed it.

There are a number of spam tests that SPForm, by default, doesn’t inform the user of (e.g., Captcha). In those cases, the user is presented with a blank page. You can set the &warnAll property to see which ones are being triggered (&warnAll=`1`).

In the latest versions of MODX, the Captcha verification is failing most of the time, even when the user’s input is correct -- so this is happening a lot. For some reason, the $_SESSION variable used to verify the user’s input is being set once after the cache is cleared and is not changing, so the verification fails on most submissions. This happens even when both the Contact page and the SPForm snippet are uncached.

Some cache issues have been fixed in 2.1.0-pl (due soon) and I’m hoping that that will fix things. If not, I’ll dig into it after the release. In the meantime, I’d recommend turning off Captcha until this is fixed.

I apologize for the difficulty and for taking so long to track this down.

      recommend turning off captcha
I don’t necessarily think Captcha is turned on and I’m still getting blank page. However, how do I check that Captcha is turned off?

Are you getting a blank page when submitting the form, or earlier?
        What version of MODX (exactly)?

Try adding &warnAll in the snippet tag and see if anything shows up on the blank page.

I get the blank page after clicking submit. When I upgraded to latest SPForm it worked for a while but then didn’t. Yesterday I upgraded to Revo 2.0.8-pl (from the previous version - I try to keep updated all the time) and it worked when tested 3 times. This morning it’s not working again (blank page after submit).
          I added &warnAll = `1`. Here is the message:
There were problems with your submission. Please go back to the previous page and correct the following errors:

          • Do not fill Last Name Field

I only have one Name field - there is no first and last name.

There’s a hidden field to catch spammers that shouldn’t be filled out. Do you have a password manager (e.g., Roboform) that might be filling in that field for you?

You can turn that feature off by putting this in the snippet tag:

            &useHiddenField=`0`

No, nothing that I know of should be filling in that field. Why would it work for a while and then not at all?

SPForm worked just fine when I first installed it. I’ve upgraded Revo many times since then and added some other packages. I’m not sure when SPForm stopped working.

I added &userHiddenField=`0` and it works now. We’ll see what it looks like in the morning.

              Thanks for your assistance.

Most browsers also have an autofill option, so that might be it.

Yes, that is it. I use Safari which is notorious for that.

But now I’m back to square one. I tried the form in IE and got a timer alert. So I added &useTimer=`0` which corrected that. But in Safari I’m now getting the "Last Name" rejection again. Here’s my call:
                  [[!SPForm? &warnAll=`1` &userHiddenField=`0` &useTimer=`0`]]

Sorry, typo. It should be $useHiddenField, not $userHiddenField

Thanks - looks like everything is working now in Safari, IE, and Firefox.
