How safe is LOGIN

Am buidling a site and would like to use the LOGIN addon and a suitable contact form.
I see it is possible to use LOGIN with or without a Captcha.
Please could someone confirm, how safe is the LOGIN snippet WITHOUT Captcha enabled?

If there are no security issues with this addon, this is as safe as the password you are using.
If you use a simple password someone might be able to login, by guessing it

There are several ways of foiling ’bot form attacks. See the SPForm snippet for functions that you can adapt to any form. I use the "empty field" function with eForm. I haven’t had any contact form spam since I implemented it.

Now have sudden security issue with Bluehost.com ...my IP has blocked my access to their site where I am currently building my modx site . Will inform the forum when I know what the truth is ...do you know of any other issues with Bluehost of late ?
