    Hi all,

please find the german language file attached. Copy it into some folder like this:
    /core/packages/spform-3.1.3-beta1/modCategory/bf145b2a5d54f666af9bc16eb1e71985/1/spform/lexicon

That is the place where the package manager puts all the files after extraction. And where it takes the files from when you decide to install a package.

Create folder "de", install the package. Maybe you have to overwrite all entries where the language file contain an german umlaut.

    Cheers,

    Guido

Did u have a look into the utf-8 issue?

Yes, I’m not sure what to do about it.

All the other packages have their files in a single format (I assume UTF-8). I can maintain and package the files in any character set, but only one set can be installed in the DE directory, AFAIK.

It looks like the file you attached is in Latin1 -- is that right?

I’m sure Shaun and Jason have a standard procedure for dealing with this. Hopefully, they’ll chime in here. If not, I’ll have to ask.

I tried Latin-1 and UTF-8 but neither worked for me. It seems as if (on import) the non latin characters get encoded twice. At least this it how it looks like every time it happens smiley

The file seems to look right to me if I tell my editor it’s Latin1.

In the PhpStorm editor, I can specify encodings on a per/file basis.

I use UltraEdit and can also do all kind of file conversion (see attachment). Maybe you can tell me what to click. Can you at least confirm this "bug"? laugh

Your english default.inc.php is different from your netherlands filetype (i think one was "unix" and one "dos") and I took the english file to overwrite for translation. In the editor they all look fine to me as well.

Edit: it’s late over here, time for bed. You’ll have the other translation within 12 h.

The other add-on files appear to be in Latin1 like your file, so let’s stick with that until we hear different. There’s some indication the MySysGit has trouble with UTF-8 files on Windows also, so that’s another reason to stick with Latin1.

The NL file was contributed a long time ago (sadly, I can’t remember who did it and can’t find any notes on it). I’ve never actually looked at it so it could well be in another encoding.

I think I can always add UTF-8 versions later if people need them.
