Weblogin

Hi everyone,

I am using the weblogin snippet, all working great. However I cannot find any documentation about users entering wrong paswords when they go to sign in. Currently if a user enters the wrong details it just stays where is it, still wanting them to login but not providing any feedback message such as "You have enetered wrong username /password"

Can someone point me in the right direction please

Edge, I assume you have a page designated as the Unauthorized Page and that that snippet is being called with the non-cacheing snippet tags (e.g. [!WebLogin?&loginHomePage=`12`!])? Be careful if you have the Unauthorized Page set to be the main login page, as an unsuccessful login should redirect you to that page (which sounds like it could be the issue). Other things to look out for -- make sure the user logging in has proper permissions to access the page that a successful login would take them back to (if being redirected to login from protected page).

Just some thoughts.

I am using the following snippet



I notice on your example Jason that you have &logHomePage=`12` wheras I am using &loginhomeid=`1`. I would be interested in knowing the difference between these.

My Login page is used on a public page and I do have an unauthorised page 47 set up in system admin and I have also cretaed this page

Susans sugestion fixed the problem

"In assets/snippets/weblogin/weblogin.common.inc.php, in the webLoginAlert function, I changed the "return" to an "echo" and now it works fine everywhere."

I think the return is wrong in the code
