Huge Login and Registration Issues

Hi all,

Currently I’m trying to get people to login and register on my site, which was working perfectly until I tried to install SMF with it, and now would just like to get the site back working - even if it’s without the forum.

When you register and submit it goes to a white page of nothingness but registers you as a member in the web user section of the cms. If you then go back to the homepage and login (with the newly registered username) it goes to the white screen again.

All and any help is welcomed as I’m well and truely stuck here.

I got this on login:

include_once(/home/toothpas/public_html/pages/assets/modules/smforum/smf.base.class.inc.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory

It coud be a permission issue with the smforum directory (Assuming that that the path is correct and the path exists)..

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately that error was probably due to me fiddling... It is once again at blank page stage!

I have once again reinstalled SMF and the module as in accordance with http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,14143.15.html

I have then gone into the module and filled out the configuration file in accordance with what I require. After this I save and launch the module interface from the menu and the following error message appears;

Unable to load SMF settings. Please make sure that the SMF Path ’’ was entered correctly

Here is where I am stuck again. My directory structure is as follows;

Once again the example username and password can be used from the first post and a MODx Admin set can be given on request.

I’m seeing the forum fine on the second link so maybe you’ve fixed that (might have needed the cache cleared).

I get the blank page on login. Check the MODx error log to see if there’s anything there.
