[QuickEdit] Edition time is not updated after edition

When QuickEditing a page, the editedon field is not updated.

The same modification through the Manager does update the editedon field. It seems inconsistent - is it a bug or a feature ?

Can we actually change the date of the current document being edited? Can you double check what field that you’re planning to change? I can’t seem to find any editedon field in edit document mode as well as quickedit.

Are you talking about published/unpublished date?

I rather imagine he’s talking about the editedon field in the database, which gets updated by the save_content.processor.php file on lines 301 - 304.

And it’s quite true, the editedon doesn’t get updated from QuickEdit.

thanks for your welcome message ; sottwell is absolutely correct, my message was referring to the editedon field in the database.

I had not taken the time to find out where it could/should be updated before posting, sorry. It seems that the fix should happen somewhere in the last lines of the QuickEdit module. Sorry, I currently have little time to find out as I am struggling with another issue with QuickEdit ( QuickEdit not displaying while Friendly URL are on, but so far searching the forums has not provided any useful answer - oh well ).

Yep, QuickEdit really should be updating it. I’ll make sure to have that working by the next release.
