Tinymce and FCKEditor Image Upload Issue

I’m currently using the 9.6.1p2 MODx install along with Tinymce 3.1. I’m having trouble with the Image Upload Resource (FCK Editor - Resource Browser). The thumbnails appearing is very buggy. Sometimes they show up, other times they don’t. No rhyme or reason that I can tell. I’ve scoured the forums but couldn’t locate this specific problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I suspect the different folders you’re browsing through have different permissions.

Thanks for the quick reply! All my folders have permissions set to 777. I’ve done some more experimenting and a more refined explanation of my problem is that the thumbs will be visible if my browser cache is cleared. If I logout and then log back in without clearing my browser cache then the FCKEditor - Resource Browser shows no thumbs (not even placeholders). Just blank. If I then logout, clear my browser cache and check again, they’re suddenly there. This is happening on a Mac system in both Firefox and Safari. It’s driving me nuts.

Could it be a server issue?

By the way, I LOVE MODx. You guys have done an amazing job! Keep up the awesome work. Best OpenSource CMS (CMF) on the market bar none.

That’s just plain weird. I’ve never seen that on my Mac... :/

I know, extremely odd. At first I thought it was my folder permissions or a bad file path in my config settings. Once I had those dialed in and it was still happening, on a lark I tried clearing my cache. Bam, they showed up. However, soon as I log out of admin and then login again they’re gone, unless of course I clear out everything first. It’s nutty. Not sure how to proceed. Guess I’ll keep farting around with it till I can narrow down the issue even further.

Under interface & features I had to edit Resource URL for ur version of modx to get it right. On the 9.6.2 I think I didnt.
But I use other folders for avatars so I just type the address and dont care much about manager.

Hmmm... I’ve edited the Resource URL and double-checked that it’s correct. Just strange that the ’image’ folder thumbs come and go like they do.

It might be worth switching over to 9.6.2 to see if that helps. If it were only myself using the CMS it wouldn’t be such a big issue for me but my client is complaining. Ease of use is paramount for the editors who know next to nothing about web management.
