(I am doubling my post to a new thread)

After moving to a new host I got the same problem with Resource Browser as Hypercubed:

    - It sees no file nor folder
    - FF console shows "this.DOMDocument has no properties"
    - IE6 shows "Object Required" error

However, none of the solutions presented here works for me.
Trying in vain for a half of a day to get the Browser to work I found the folllowing:

    - the resource browser CREATES folders, still it doesnt show them
    - having the above fact in mind, it doesnt upload files
    - making a clean MODx install in a different folder (sitepath/test/) and pointing the resource path to the problem resource folder (changing sitepath/test/assets/ to sitepath/assets/) I get a WORKING resource browser. That means that the browser from the newly installed system on the same host SEES the resource folder of the actual previously installed sytem (so its not the problem of the host security settings, nor it is the problem of permissions)

Now I am desperate in getting this to work, as I have tried everything I am qualified in. I seem to have two ways: try to connect a freshly downloaded FCKeditor to my current MODx install or... make a clean install of MODx in hope that it will work with all my tweaks and hacks and resources. Both tasks seem too tough for now Sad

Maybe there is still a way to force the trouble Browser to see the files/folders?

Does the new fresh install you used as a test have the same plug-ins/add-ons as the development site? Could there be a conflict with some other tweak?

Do FF and IE report the same errors on the working version of the browser?

Are both installs running the same version of the browser?

        Thanks for your reply, dev_cw

        Lets see...

        - my test site was a complete out-of-package MODx 0.9.6.1 with everything that comes with it but nothing more
        - I made one tweak with Resource Browser on the development site for it to show files in alphabetical order, but now I overwrote the whole mcpuk directory back to initial state - from MODx 0.9.6.1 package (maybe the problem hides somewhere here)
        - FF and IE report no errors on the working Browser (test install) and it shows files and folders normally
        - I guess both installs run the same version of Resource Browser as both installs are from the same 0.9.6.1 package

        Thanks again for your attention!

Do you have any JavaScript on the development site that could e conflicting with the resource browser?

Hmm.. I have QuickEdit enabled, some script for showing/hiding divs, and a mootools slider.

But Resource Browser is opened in a popup-window... can those JavaScripts affect it?

The folders are created with 755 permission as stated in configuration

I am stumped. Since it works on the second install on the same server under the same conditions, I am left to think that reinstalling the resource browser may be the way to go.

Well then, could you please recommend the correct way it should be done?

                    Thanks
