    Running Modx 1.04, TinyMCE 3.3.5.1. modified with NCrossland’s tinymce.linklist.php v1.0.3 -- running at hostgator.com ... php is 5.2.4

    The disappearance of the link list sporadically in Firefox (and all other browers this time) has me stumped. Tried a fresh install, since this same package is working just fine on a different server at the same web host. The site is not huge (around 100 pages) and all was working fine until a couple of days ago when it simply went missing.

    - tried all the various hacks and voodoo
    - tried rebuilding MySQL databases

    Bupkis.

    Looking for:

    1. a good how to upgrade the tinymce plugin within Modx -- I see the downloads, the jscripts directory, but what file in the download package is used for the actual plugin code within modx? The one that begins:

    // Set the name of the plugin folder
    $plugin_dir = "tinymce";

    2. If anyone has a recent fix to this I’d love to know.

    I like TinyMCE and would like to continue using it... and modx.

    I’m wondering if it is a server issue and will pursue that. If I find out anything there, I will update here...

    • I’ve used this on many servers from MAMP to Windows to Solaris, in fact just installed it yesterday on Bluehost. Never had this happen.

        * I’ve installed Modx in various incarnations many times on a wide variety of servers -- it’s only happened a handful of times (maybe 3?) and always well after the installation -- months later I’m editing something and suddenly realize it’s gone.

          I just had this happen with MODx 1.0.6 and TinyMCE 3.9.9.2. Did you ever find a fix?
