How can I disable TinyMCE as the default editor?

Hi,

I’m trying to embed google code into a page, but unfortunately the TinyMCE editor’s autoformatting is wrecking havoc with it, even when I use the TinyMCE html editor.

TinyMCE is fine for clients who just want to do basic text editing, but as a developer I’d like to be able to disable it temporarily to access the plain HTML editor.

Is there a way to do this? Reading through the forums I understand it was once possible to do this in MODx Evolution, but it seems no longer possible in Revolution.

This thread talks about "YAMS" and seems to refer to MODx Evolution: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,49429.0.html, so it wasn’t very helpful.

Also, disabling the various TinyMCE autoformatting options isn’t good enough. I want to be able to bypass the editor completely...

Like Evo you should be able to just go to the Settings tab in Revo and uncheck "Rich Text". I think in the config settings you can have this be the default too if you desire. Hope that helps!
