TinyMCE not loading the 'Advanced edit' pop-ups properly

I can’t ’advanced edit’ (for eg insert link, or edit html) in the TinyMce rich text editor plug-in with Safari(ver5) or Internet Explorer(ver8) on Vista(Home Premium) - the pop-up that comes up is completely blank!
Modx ver’ 1.0.0
server is apache
don’t know the rest...

in addition it is now not working for Firefox either! - this seems to be unique to Vista as I’ve checked on all three browsers on a pc with xp, and a friend has checked on a Mac.

the top of the pop-up displays this -
{#advanced_dig.code_title}
instead of the particular ’advanced edit’ item’s description it normally displays.

Does anybody know what is causing this to come up on the TinyMCE ’advanced edit’ function when using Vista????

If I understand correctly you are running MODx Evolution 1.0.0 vs. 1.0.4? Did you install or upgrade TinyMCE?

You can get your complete system info in MODx Evoltion by going to Reports>System Info from the Manager and copying all the stuff out above the tables.

I don’t remember for sure but you may need to go into the plugin settings for TinyMCE to make that work.

Someone else might be able to help you out further. Post back those additional details in the meanwhile.

I am running Modx Evolution 1.0.0 and I haven’t changed a thing to anything and the TinyMCE version is whatever it was that came with it - been running fine for months - but now fails, have Modx Evolution 1.0.2 on a clients site - and that fails too!

So you are saying that it did work and now it didn’t or that you can’t change it to Advanced Editor after having it set for something else?

I’m saying that I was always able to click the ’insert link’ or ’html’ buttons and view and add content to the pop-up that then appeared - now the pop-up is completely blank with this - {#advanced_dlg.code_title} written along the top - which means that I now cannot add or alter any links in any of the content!!!

Gotcha. Just trying to understand the problem more fully.

There is a hack but I am not certain it is a good idea.

Thats not it - it works on other computers running different O/S - it appears to be exclusive to windows Vista - and my updates are switched off - so it’s not a question of microsoft throwing a spanner in the works either!!

I don’t know. @bravado is going to take a peek.
