Better Link List for TinyMCE?

My Link List disappeared although it’s enabled in configuration. I guess it’s because I imported 4000 documents into the database and select with 4000 lines wouldn’t work very well.

Is there any better solution? It would be nice to have some Ajax-based search field where you could choose documents just by typing their name. Or for example wouldn’t be possible to select document directly from the three as it is used many times in the manager?

I can’t get the line 41 change to work but I was able to get the "flat" version to work (backup the code you’re replacing and rename "tinymce.linklist.flat.php" to "tinymce.linklist.php"). This is a pretty undesirable solution though as it’s unsorted. Anyone else having problems with the line 41 replace fix on 1.0.4?

I’m having the same issue in 1.0.4. Missing Link List. I’ve tried all the solutions recommended in other posts (changing line 41 of tinymce.linklist.php, changing tinymce theme type and clearing cache, etc). So far I can’t get the Link List to show up. In its place I have a field titled Anchors. Could it be a plugin conflict or is this purely a caching/configuration issue?

This issue seems to be occurred following a recent minor Firefox update. I am not sure exactly which update caused the link list to disappear but it has only happened recently to me and it is specific to Firefox. The link list is still showing in IE8.
