tinyMCE 4.0.0 rc1, Revo 2.0.0 rc1 - package manager problems

Hello all,

Having a bit of trouble with tinyMCE not installing properly.

First, the package won’t upload directly, as I believe it should (is that right?), using the package retreiver. I have to upload it manually.

Once I’ve done that, I’m getting errors in the console as the package tries to install, then although it tells me the install is succesful and sets the RTE to tinyMCE in settings nothing is really there - tinyMCE not even in the dropdown list for which_editor, although it is shown in the settings field. All the configurations, file permissions etc check out OK.

I’ve tried all sorts of different things, and am now running PHP as a CGI module which seems to help, and safe mode is off, but still unable to use tinyMCE.

Any help gratefully received!

This is because, as it states on its download page: http://modxcms.com/extras/package/459

Works with the following Version(s): Revolution-2.0.0-rc-2

It does not work with Revo 2.0.0-rc-1. It will work with the soon to be released Revo 2.0.0-rc2.

Just tried the same with a completely clean install of MODx Revo 2.0.0 rc1 and tinyMCE 3.2.7.0 rc1 and it’s been seamless.

Do you know whats wrong?
Do i need to change the settings on my PHP? how/where do I do this? PHPmyadmain?

Go to System Settings, search for ’archive_with’, change it to Yes.

thanks, i actually have done that. in the meantime... so now i tried again but now it just plain old wont unpack. see error below;

i tried deleting the zip using my ftp program... and now the list wont refresh. modx still thinks it’s there!

ok got it working. the package somehow got corupted (maybe from half-unziping it before). Deleted with FTP re-uploaded and it works now.

I am running Modx Revo 2.1.1-pl traditional and trying to install TinyMCE 4.3.0-rc2 on a PHP Version 5.3.3-1 Ubuntu 10.10 Server (it is a virtual machine) with mysql 5.1.49 and pdo_mysql is installed.

I have changed "archive_with" to Yes which seems to have made no difference. Out of interest I am having the same problem with frontpage 1.2.0 but I have successfully intalled Wayfinder, Breadcrumbs and ActiveDirectory.

I have also noticed that may cache does not always seem to clear correctly and that tinymce-4.3.0-rc1.cache.php was not being removed from /var/www/intranet/core/cache/packages/mgr/providers/updates/2. I manually deleted the file from the server and tried another install with no success but the file is back.

Any one got any ideas. I have tried what I can find on the forums and am now getting a little desperate.

ADDED LATER

I have just successfully installed TinyMCE 4.3.0-rc1 which I took the transport zip from a previous site and manually added it to this one. To me this means there is must be an issue with my downloads but I have checked my php.ini and should be fine. So I ask again Has any one got any ideas?
