Need to show the links in the editor as properly styled links, not default blue/underlined
The client wants to see the style of the page in the editor exactly as it will appear on the final page and this works fine by adding a new css stylesheet (modx.css) and adding it in Tools > Settings.
I can show the appropriate styles of headings, lists and text etc in the Tiny MCE editor window but cannot remove the default style of blue underlined links.
I’ve had this request. And I’ve learned to give them a flat "no". Even if you went through the hours to make this work, then they’ll say, now why is the text color wrong, and why is the list spacing wrong, why is the size wrong, and it will go on forever. You can try patiently educating them, or if that’s not your thing, blame it on Tiny being written by outside developers over whom you have no control. That’s stretching it, of course, but it’s easier for a non-assertive person to say.
This is just as unfeasible as having clients successfully edit tables in Tiny, even if you do enable the table insert thingie. WYSIWYG does not work perfectly in a browser, and clients just don’t get that.
