How to Eliminate excessive tags in TinyMCE

I will give an example of my problem. I have a WebLoginPE call in it’s own document, no <p> tags needed. I don’t use TinyMCE, but my client will. However, if I go back to edit the call, TinyMCE will come up first. When I set the editor to "none", I see the call wrapped in <p> tags. This will cause the validator to split out an error. If I save the call after I delete the <p> tags, while not being in TinyMCE, I am good to go. However, this is a pain, and my client won’t remember to do all that.

I know one error is no big deal, but it just annoys me that it keeps adding tags.

How do I keep TinyMCE to keep from doing this, without losing any TinyMCE functionality for my client? This has never happened in any of the previous versions of MODx I have used. I have messed with the configs, but I can’t figure it out.

I am so glad you raised this question! I was going to ask about this as well. My next hill to climb is getting TinyMCE to behave in the manner I would prefer. This includes adding more CSS options in the editor window via the Configuration.

I would be happy if the damn thing would stop removing all the spacing I like to add in my markup. Any list I have in a document ends up looking like garbage. I’ve had to resort to adding more document content into chunks, when I don’t want that particular content in a chunk. I’ve tried messing with the config section, but it’s not helping.

At least the p tags are gone.
