TinyMCE toolbar

While logged in the manager, go to Security->Manager Users. Click on your username and then click on the User tab. You’ll find the TinyMCE settings that are currently set for your profile at the bottom. Chances are that this is the problem. If you’re not sure, try creating a new user and logging into the manager with it. Does the problem still occur?

Nothing was set in user settings so I thought I’d try some settings there. When I set the theme there to custom the toolbar comes back. So, I will leave it that way.

There must be something that got changed in Tiny that effects all default themes.

Using the custom theme I should be able to the table button though. Correct?

Is this the correct way to do that? or should I just add "table to row 3"
(adding "table" at end of custom plugins and just before images on row 1)

You almost have it for the plugins and button assignments. You add ’table’ to the plugins...but I would remove the space after the comma just to be safe. After that, add ’tablecontrols’ to one of the rows. This will add all related buttons for controlling tables.
