Safari support is now fully functional
Wow, now that’s a progress
Core is completely rewritten and optimized.
* Smaller download size and less files to load.
* New and improved API, documented at wiki.moxiecode.com.
* New Office 2007 skin.
* Inline dialogs are now cleaned up and used by default.
* More semantically correct output, more flexible and powerful serialization engine.
* On-demand loading of TinyMCE and it’s plugins.
It seems like a very good news !
I can’t wait to check on that "semantically correct output"...
Quote from: dflock at Feb 01, 2008, 02:43 AMI also found this: http://inplacericheditor.box.re/demos which uses TinyMCE and would kick the crap out of QuickEdit, I think!
Nice indeed, but remember QuickEdit does not only deals with editing RTEs, it has quite a few handy features on top of that... what would be interresting : integrating this kind of in place RTE with QuickEdit

Can someone tell me how to install this version 3.0? I’m not seeing any instructions. I’m pretty new to MODx, still trying to get oriented to how all these piece fit together.

It needs some support php files modified for it, best to wait for the people who are doing that for MODx unless you’re a sharp Javascript and PHP coder who’s familiar with setting up custom installations for TinyMCE.
Here’s a link to the latest versions available as a plugin for MODx

I’ll be working on this. There are lots of infrastructure changes within TinyMCE so I’ll have to re-engineer a few things.
