    I think that there are too many places in which you can change the settings of TinyMCE:

    1) the tools/configuration page
    2) the TinyMCE plugin configuration
    3) the user TinyMCE settings

    it’s not clear what overrides what and how to avoid the override; for example, it is clear that the user configuration should override some global configuration (which one?), but how to use the global? leaving the field blank doesnt work

    • I agree and think it should be limited to two places:

      1) The Tiny MCE plugin configuration
      2) The user overrides, with all defaults/explicit settings set to use the system settings (you only use this in extreme cases)

      Heck maybe even abstract the user overrides into another totally optional plugin so it’s only in one place, which is how it’ll be set used 99% of the time. More I think about it the more I’m in favor of that.
