So adding the remove_linebreaks line doesn’t work when you add it to the Custom Configuration parameter in the Plugin Configuration? I’ll test it at home and see if I can repeat it.

I installed 2.1.1.1a on 0.9.6. Everything seemed to go well, but there is still no "Custom Parameters" field .
I have the TinyMCE theme set to "Content Editor".
Could I have done something wrong?

I’ve got exactly the same problem as jennyplaster. 2.1.1.1a is installed and operating, but there is no "Custom Parameters" field.
