Support/Comments for TinyMCE

I have problem in the latest version 3.0.3

It works fine for Administrators but for editors(custom role) it does not work. No TinyMce editor
I get this javascript error: t.controls[t.controls.length - 1] has no properties

Edit: It seems that if I have ’none’ in the Row 2 of the user profile I get this error.
If I leave it empty I get another error.

Does it have to be something on the Row 2

Hi, what’s the function of the visualchars button? In both IE as well as FF clicking at this button has no effect. Is it an error or a joke?
Sometimes I wish to see empty paragraphs pasted in by the editor. I think the visualchars button should show these characters like in MS Word or so? But nothing happens. Any ideas?

Ah, good catch, Richard. I’ll see if I can put back in the helper function for this. Problem is that Moxiecode updated the API for TinyMCE and thus the old way of doing this doesn’t work. Shouldn’t be too difficult though to fix.

A couple of strange things going on for me with version 3.0.8 using IE7 (it works fine with Firefox)

1) Create 2 or more paragraphs and try and set the second or subsequent paragraph to a heading, say ’Heading 2’. Always the first paragraph style is changed.

2) Create a table and try and insert a new row using the right click menu. It does not work. All the right click functionality does not work, it seems to be ignoring the table being clicked on. The table toolbar buttons do work however.

Both these worked fine with 3.0.3. I went to the moxiecode site and tried using their demo page and it works fine...!?!
Anyone else seeing this problem with 3.0.8?

I’ll do some testing with IE7 to see if I can duplicate it. Thanks for the feedback.

I updated a while ago to TinyMCE 3.0.3 and MODx 0.9.6p2 ... now experiencing an issue with the "Embed media" and Resource browser (was all working fine before).

When I click on "Embed media", set type = "Flash", go to the Resource Browser for File/URL... I’ve got the folders showing up, but not the actual *.swf files. doh!

If I manually enter the path and add it, then save it, when I got back to edit, the File/URL value has disappeared and the src is not in the embed/param tags.

No such luck on Moxie’s website, and thus far searching the forums is not helping ... a new setting somewhere in the upgrade that I’ve missed?

PS. Updating to 3.0.8 didn’t solve anything.

All <p> are done with .MsoNormal class ..?

+ my list of css styles to be used is "overridden" (?) and
ALL class and ID of my css style sheet appears into the styles list..

What is this and how to manage to get ride off it ?

(M0Dx.96 last version and tine 3.03, freshly uptdated to 3.08)

@kumazatheef: I’m getting disallowed file type errors on my end so it might be related. Put this issue on my to-do list. I’m up to my ears in things to do at the moment but will try to do some bug fixing very soon.

@elz64: MsoNormal is a Microsoft class if I’m not mistaken. Are you by chance pasting from a Word document? If so, use the Paste from Word button instead.

Yes I did this first , but I edited the HTML within TinyMCE to clear these class away manually, and ... whatever I do , each time I edit the paragraphes ( adding a line feed or a new p for exemple) the MsoNormal class is coming back..

[edit] by repasting the txt, the issue is solved.
