I’ve been getting Internal Server Error 500 messages when I try to edit a Chunk. When I first add one, all looks well but as soon as I hit "Save" I’m redirected to an Internal Server Error page. The same happens when I click on the chunk to view its contents.

So I installed another copy of Revolution on a different domain and Chunks worked without any problems. I then proceeded to add the TinyMCE editor without any problems. I then went in to modify a chunk and it too was now experiencing the same 500 error that my first domain did. If I uninstall TinyMCE as a plugin (or select ’None’ for editor to use in System -> System Settings), the chunks begin working again. Install (or enable) TinyMCE again and sure enough the server error happens again.

Also, here is the error from my apache error logs

[Fri Feb 11 14:13:17 2011] [warn] (104)Connection reset by peer: mod_fcgid: read data from fastcgi server error.
[Fri Feb 11 14:13:17 2011] [error] [client 192.168.1.1] Premature end of script headers: index.php, referer: http://domain-here.com/manager/index.php?a=61

This is only happening to Chunks and nothing else. Does anyone have any ideas?

Well, I guess I should have spent a bit more time researching the issue. I was able to find a fix at this post where andrewk describes the fix perfectly! http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,57964.msg333813.html#msg333813

It is strange that TinyMCE is being loaded by Chunks even if "Edit to use for elements" is set to None. That sounds to me like it may be a bug.
