Is the only way to link to another page in the file browser is to put this page link in manually as so: [~2~]
Seems like the most intuitive way would be to have a drop down with all the existing pages (maybe this is a nightmare with a site with lots of pages).
Just thought I’d ask because most clients will be totally confused and not remember how to use a method like [~2~]

Yes, this is the very reason why it has not been done this way.
You can use the Search input, just above the URL input. It allows you to search for a particular page, by alias or by title. When you click on a result, the URL input is automatically filled in with the link.
