This RTE looks pretty promising, as does the associated file manager, which is actually free for a change.

I don’t have the skills to implement it but I thought it might be a good idea to bring it to the attention of people who can.

That could be an interesting alternative for the MODx File Browser

Yeah, looks like a wicked editor with a way cool file manager. I would be keen to have a crack at getting this integrated into Evo, but I’ll need some pointers to get me started (plugins are new to me). Anyone willing to offer a outline as to how I would go about this?

From working with TinyMCE, it’s a matter of a plugin to set up the configuration file for the RTE and then activate it on loading the resource editing form. Particularly the id or name of the content field must be specified so the RTE knows where to put itself. In the manager/actions/mutate_resource.dynamic.php file:
          	<textarea id="ta" name="ta" style="width:100%; height: 400px;" onchange="documentDirty=true;"><?php echo htmlspecialchars($htmlContent)?></textarea>

Take a look at the TinyMCE plugin to get an idea of how the plugin would work. There are also a number of other add-ons for adding various editors; they would also help by showing the differences the different RTEs need to be activated.
