I can use the file manager to upload a file from the "Files" tab in Revolution RC3.

However from TinyMce, images icon, when I launch the file manager it shows me a folder with no sub-folders (even though they exist) and when I try to upload I get permission denied.

    My settings are

    File Manager Path = /var/www/vhosts/mydomain/httpdocs/assets
    Resource URL = assets
    Resource Path = assets

I’ve tried all sorts of combinations, traling slashes etc.

I’ve also tried leaving all path settings ’blank’ per the default and

      File Manager Path = /var/www/vhosts/mydomain/httpdocs

This could be a RC3 issue.

I had the file manager working on another test environment with RC2. I wiped this and installed RC3 and the file manager launched from TinyMCE no longer works?

There was a bug in the file manager in RC-3. That has been fixed in SVN and will be working for PL. If you’d like to apply the patch manually, here is the changeset:

Thanks - thought I might be going mad.

            I’ve applied the patch.

My system settings are now being reflected in the Files Tab.

However when I launch File Manager from TinyMCE it’s still the same problem, single folder icon (don’t know where it is in the tree) that I can’t drill into, upload to etc.

I’m also having these issues. Did I see a fix for the resource browser within TinyMCE a couple of days ago? I can’t seem to find it now.

              • The extra step to get the browser working in TinyMCE is here:

StevenLangbroek, after applying the path, do not forget copy
                \www\manager\assets\modext\widgets\core\modx.rte.browser.js
                into
                \www\manager\assets\modext\build\widgets\core\modx.rte.browser-min.js
                (with REPLACE)

                ...and clear browser’s cache smiley
